Safer Gosport Community Day!

On Saturday 17th March 2012, Gosport Community Safety Partnership will host it’s first ever Safer Gosport Community Day!  Following on from the successful ‘Have Your Say’ events over the past three years, this is the first time a whole day of activities will be available for all the family to enjoy.  Being held in and around the Town Hall, there will be plenty to do and find out about!

Town Hall reception     Keeping your community safe & getting involved
There will be a whole host of agencies including the Police, Hampshire Probation Service and trading standards providing advice, along with some of our voluntary agencies such as Neighbourhood Watch, Street Pastors and Fareham and Gosport Family Aid.  There will also be fun activities including the Police WII challenge, face painting and a ‘Your Voice Counts’ survey to win £75 worth of vouchers of your choice!

Community Safety Van   Keeping yourself safe
Town Hall entrance         Find out how you can keep yourself and your family safer by visiting the Community Safety van – here you will be able to get your pedal cycle coded or book a home safety check for free…and even get your dog chipped for a nominal fee!

Nat Gonella Square     What’s keeping you safe?
Throughout the day, you can wander around the display of emergency services vehicles, from Fire Engines to Police Cars…and even a tank courtesey of HMS Sultan!

Council Chamber         Have your say on safety!*
‘YOU be the Judge’ - From 11.30am-12.30pm, you can try the role of a magistrate and take part in a trial scenario and sentencing…hear about the crime and pass your judgement!
‘QuestionTime’ – From 1pm-2.30pm, you can quiz a panel of senior representatives from the Community Safety Partnership about your concerns of crime and anti-social behaviour in Gosport.
(*Please note, places for both of these sessions are limited and you are advised to book in advance).
