Great 2012 Offers

VisitEngland has secured an additional £3m from the Government Olympic Executive and a further £1m for the other UK nations to run a £4m domestic TV campaign showcasing fantastic reasons to holiday and take more breaks in the UK during 2012.

The TV advertising campaign, which will go on air on the 8thMarch 2012, will feature the themes of coast, countryside and city, with a call to action to visit a specially designed website portal for the campaign. This will feature special offers from industry partners of 20.12% off and other great offers and a link direct through to each businesses’ website for further information and to book directly with the business. 

The “20.12% off” means offers that give that amount off or better. The application of this can be flexible so that deals such as 3-nights-for-the-price-of-2 at a hotel and buy-one-get-one-free entry at an attraction could be included as they are better than 20.12% off (33% and 50%off respectively).

Terms and conditions will apply, and each business will set them for their own offer. As T&Cs will vary, they must be clearly stipulated on the participators website, and alongside any offer posted through the campaign. Offers displayed on the website will be split into those of “money off” and “added value offers”. Visit England understand that not everyone will be able to provide an offer of 20.12% off or better, but these offers will need to be prioritised so the most compelling offers are most prominent.
