Solar Panels in Gosport - Update 1

I have now had the solar panels Details Here for two weeks, in that time the system has produced 107 kWh so in line with what was suggested, the full sunny days give 10 kWh (so if I had them two weeks earlier, it could have been as much as 140 kWh in that two weeks as it was dry and sunny most if not the whole two weeks. I have registered with British Gas, though have not yet had confirmation that all is sorted. I should get 41.3p per kW  produced in Feed in Tariff plus 3p per kW for power exported to the grid, as no export meter is installed it is treated as 50% of the amount produced is taken as exported, these are Government calculations  I feel I am using less than 50%, but assuming I do still get the few kW over the Autumn to Spring I will use more of what is produced.

I did have a bit of a problem with signing up for the Feed in Tariff etc It was sent by email and could sign and send back in the same way, but problems with the scanner or the software, only scanning a page at a time, so I just sent back the signature pages, but they need the whole thing so I put it in the post. I will try  to keep you up to date in case you are thinking of doing the same before the amount of the FiT is reduced. Ian
