JUSTIN ROSE AND HAMPSHIRE GOLF PARTNERSHIP DRIVE FOR VICTORY

As  Justin Rose tees up with Tiger Woods at the 150th Open Golf Championship at St Andrews, Hampshire Golf Partnership launches its biggest  ever drive to encourage the county’s non golfers to “Get into Golf”.
Fresh from two great recent victories on the US Tour, Rose, who is Hampshire Golf Partnership’s Patron, is one of a pack of young and hungry English golfers seeking to win the game’s oldest championship.  From his days as a youngster representing the county,  Rose has grown from an English amateur international into a European and US Tour winner and Ryder Cup star and is now ranked at number 16 in the world.
Said  Hampshire Golf Partnership Chairman Keith Maplesden:
“We are really thrilled with Justin’s much deserved success and everyone will be rooting hard for him this week. We also very proud that he is our Patron and know that he will be very supportive of our efforts to discover more young talented Hampshire players  -  whilst encouraging  their Mum’s and Dad’s to get into golf as well.”
Get into  Golf” is at 11 golf clubs and centres throughout Hampshire from Monday 19th to Thursday 22nd July,  offering free taster sessions from 4 – 8pm to non golfers of all ages, with some of the Hampshire’s top coaches.
Details of the venues can be found on www.hantsgolfpartnership.co.uk
