1. Go Forth & Prosper!
It’s only 16 days until the formal launch of the 2010 Gosport Business Awards on Thursday 12th August! The theme of this years’ awards, now in their fourth year, is “Rewarding Excellence” and we are calling all local businesses to consider entering to showcase their achievements over the past twelve months. This year we are launching a new category – “Manufacturing Excellence” alongside categories like “Business Achievement” and “Benefit to the Community”. You will be able to download the entry forms after that date on www.go-gosport.co.uk after 12th August.
2. Register for discounts for Hampshire Chamber & Smarter Working Centre
The Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and the Smarter Working Centres have joined together to offer businesses a unique discount offer. Just by registering you can obtain a £25 discount off standard membership fee of the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce as well as a 10% of all booking to the local Smarter Working Centre based at the Sanderson Centre in Lees Lane . 3. The Way Forward
The Hampshire Economic Partnership (HEP) is organising three FREE events aimed at ascertaining local business views on the current economic environment and the most effective ways partnership-working. The event is a unique opportunity to put forward your views, and share potential solutions, on areas such as infrastructure and business support. The discussion will also consider the role of Local Enterprise Partnerships which will replace the Regional Development Agencies. 4. See how the Bus Rapid transport System will look
From today for three days, an exhibition will showcase how the planned Bus Rapid Transport System will look. The exhibition will take at the Town Hall until 29th July and will be followed by a three day exhibition in the Discovery Centre from 30th July. For further details, visit our NEWS section.
5. Visit our go-gosport directories!
All Gosport businesses are encouraged to register on the Go-gosport on-line Business directory. This is a free listing enabling companies to promote their products and service. The Directory is also a great tool for local residents to find a local supplier. We have also recently launched a Skills Directory which is a comprehensive listing of training courses available in the local area. To search for a course or find a training provider, click here.
