“The playschemes provide a wide range of sporting activities including Cricket, Golf, Hockey, Sports Aerobics and Swimming coaching,” said Councillor Graham Burgess, Chairman of Community & Environment Board at Gosport Borough Council. “And even for those who are not into sports there is fun to be had with Arts & Craft, Badge Making, Model Making, Parachute Games and even a fun Inflatable Obstacle Course, with the whole event culminating with an end of scheme party.”
The Council are also working in partnership with Gosport Model Yacht Club, who will host the Annual Recycled Boat Race on Thursday 12 August. This is where youngsters attending playschemes get to build and race their best boat against others from neighbouring schemes!
