I have received information about the Haslar Petition on the Downing St web site, from 3 people and 2 of them asked if I could put it on the Gosport.info web site, though both said it may be too political for that site. I thought I would ask you whether it is the sort of thing you would be happy with? My concern is where to draw the line and that a large proportion of the visitors to that web site are from abroad. There is this Gosport.info blog which could be a place for these items or a forum. I understand the two Gosport forums seem to have closed, the MyGosport one no longer allows me to log in, so unless someone confirms one is still there, I could follow up an enquiry from the Whiteley Forum who are in the process of including a Hampshire Discussion Forum on that site, which does include information about the Haslar Petition. Please let me know if you feel these more political item would be OK for Gosport.info web site, the Gosport.info Blog, Gosport or Hampshire Forums or some combination of the above. I have been advised that Joan Russell is planning to let me have something on the history of Haslar Hospital the Gosport.info web site in the next few months. Ian Jeffery

I feel you should start your own Forum. It would be nice for Gosport to have its own forum rather than using someone elses. You get a real sense of community when its run by the community its self. We are aware of the Downing street petition and quite a few of us have signed the petition, Good luck

Hello Sarah, thank you for your comment. I understood that there were two Gosport Forums, but can no longer, in one case find it and the other get in to it. I know who set them up so have contacted them to find out if they are still running them.
If not I would have to think about it, as with the weekly, mostly updates to Gosport.info, I am not getting round to adding stuff to the Gosport.info blogg and understand the Whitely/ Hampshire Forum has 5 people moderating the postings. Thank you for you thoughts and please watch here or www.gosport.info in case I find a Gosport Forum is running.
It would be a way for people to ask their question about Gosport, without me mucking about with the questions (sorry editing them) Ian
